A 5th generation Oregonian, Cynthia attended college at Portland State University and was awarded a full athletic scholarship for softball (Go Vikings!!).  During her tenure she achieved NCAA Division II All-American status and was invited to the Olympic Training Center Trials in 2001. In 2011, Cynthia was inducted into the Portland State University Athletic Hall of Fame.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Finance Law, she began 15 years of industry experience with the position of Regional Underwriter/Marketing Representative for Safeco Commercial Surety.  Shortly thereafter she found her calling on the brokerage side where she gained experience working with medium/large commercial accounts.  Continuing her education, Cynthia achieved the Associate of Risk Management designation (ARM) in 2001 and Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) in 2008.  She joined Biggs Insurance in September of 2008. 

Cynthia is an active leader both in the community and within the industry.  She served four years on the Board of Directors for the local chapter of National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA), two years as Vice-Chair for the national chapter of NUCA's Insurance and Documents committee, and developed a proprietary insurance program for utility contractors.  She is also a member of AGC (Associated General Contractors Association), HBA (Home Builders Association), and a volunteer for Junior Achievement of America.

She is always on the move whether it means volunteering with her children's activities, assisting with auctions and golf tournaments, or hanging out with the family in Sunriver.
