After graduation from Taylor University, Laron started his career with the Union Carbide Corporation and was with them for 21 years in a Human Resource capacity. He worked in Iowa, Illinois, and New Jersey prior to his transfer to Vancouver in 1983. In 1986 he started working exclusively in the employee benefits area with a local insurance agency. In 1993 he received his Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) designation and in 2001 began working with Biggs Insurance.
He is active with the local, state, and national Health Underwriter organization and has served as President, Treasurer, and board member of the local Tri-County Association of Health Underwriters. He was also Program Chair of WAHU Health Care Symposium in 2002 and 2009.
Laron is licensed as an Agent and Broker in several states and is appointed to represent many of the major life and health insurance companies. He has experience with both insured and self-funded employee benefit plans.
