Scott was born and raised in Longview, Washington where he graduated from R.A. Long High School. He attended Pomona College in Claremont, California for two years before transferring to UC Santa Barbara.
After graduating, Scott returned to the Northwest, living in Portland where he met his wife of the past 30 years, Christine. In 1978 Scott entered the insurance industry, spending the next 13 years in California where he was exposed to all aspects of the insurance business.
In 1991 Scott relocated to Longview and ultimately came to work with Biggs Insurance. Scott has enjoyed a successful relationship with Biggs and now serves clients located in the Vancouver metro area and up the I-5 corridor into the Longview/Kelso community.
Over the past 30 years Scott's attention to detail and desire to provide the best products and service to his customers has resulted in strong client and company relationships. While he has worked primarily with social service/non-profit organizations, manufacturers, and general trade contractors, Scott is well versed in all lines of business insurance.
In addition to his insurance career, Scott serves as the President of the D. Margaret Studley Foundation which supports local non-profit charities. He also serves on the board's of Community Home Health/Hospice and the Progress Center.
Scott golf's out of the Longview Country Club and enjoys movies, books, and gaming. He is an avid fan of the Portland Trail Blazers.
