Insurance Technician

Biggs is hiring for a Technician to assist across departments! This entry-level position is designed to help new employees develop an understanding of how insurance works through training, mentorship, and rotational assignments. This position will be exposed to educational and other programs that will accelerate their development as an insurance professional.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Will compile daily communication logs;
  • Is exposed to the database including policy information and specification information;
  • Assists with compiling datasheets for marketing purposes;
  • Is exposed to how new/renewal policies are developed;
  • Serves as the primary back-up for Reception;
  • Adheres to all Biggs systems, procedures, and insurance regulation;
  • Other projects as requested.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems and operations
  • Attention to detail is critical as well as exceptional customer service skills required.
  • Likes to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am–5pm

Life and Health Client Services Coordinator

Biggs is hiring for the position of Client Services Coordinator in our Life & Health Insurance department! This individual assists with client implementation and utilization of department resources by becoming an expert in certain functions as an inside resource. They’ll be responsible for creation and support of clients’ internal and external communication, marketing, and department initiatives. They will help ensure activities strategically fit into overall agency initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Gathers and organizes information for department staff in preparation for meetings and other functions as needed;
  • Establishes, develops, maintains, and updates client filing system and account records for the corporation. Retrieves information from files when needed;
  • Sorts, scans and distributes department correspondence. Responds to regularly occurring requests for information;
  • Assists with Benefit Administration;
  • Works independently and within a team on special nonrecurring and ongoing projects;
  • Other duties as needed or called upon to provide.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business is preferred or equivalent work experience and education will be considered
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in all aspects of Administrative functions
  • Demonstrated technical capacity and aptitude for computers and working with software programs such as Microsoft products; specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook as well as other web-based programs such as Salesforce
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday between the hours of 8am–5pm and as needed to meet client/prospect needs or sales & marketing objectives

Experience:

  • Relevant: 5 years (preferred)
  • Life & Health insurance: 5 years (preferred)

Life and Health Department Associate

Biggs is hiring for an Associate in our Life & Health Insurance department! This individual coordinates efforts with the Account Management team – i.e.: Client Service Coordinators/Account Executives – with client implementation (small and large) and utilization of department resources, as an internal and client-facing resource. They’ll be responsible for the creation and support of clients’ internal and external communication, marketing, and department initiatives. They will help ensure activities strategically fit into overall agency initiatives.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for online administration system (Ease), implementing and maintaining client information for open enrollment and ongoing changes;
  • Take on overflow of client service coordinator activities so client renewal timelines are met and exceeded;
  • Back up Account Executives to maintain timely client responses and customer service (ex.: responding to billing issues, member claims, etc.);
