Every month we like to introduce one of our staff members so you can get to know them better. This month, our Commercial Agent Jake tells us how, by cosmic coincidence, his very first job back in high school related to insurance! (PS: Jake is an awesome new addition to our team, and brings with him extensive experience with the transportation industry and crafting tailor-made coverages for Public Livery clients. Give him a call today at 360-828-3815!)
You won the lottery! What’s your first purchase?
A trip to Jamaica. My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon there and are long overdue for a return trip!
Share one thing you love to do that you always strive to include in your daily routine.
Before I leave for work and as soon as I get home, I give hugs and kisses to my family. Every morning and every evening.
What are some of your favorite hobbies or activities?
I love sports and am a lifelong fan of the Seahawks, Trail Blazers and Mariners. I also love going to concerts and have seen around 400 live shows!
Tell us about one of your most memorable experiences.
As cheesy as it may sound, witnessing the birth of my children was an unforgettable memory each time.
What is your favorite Biggs story?
The afternoon tailgate in the parking was not only fun, but was great for teambuilding as well. (Haven’t been here long enough for many stories!)
If you were stranded on a deserted island, what is the one thing you couldn’t live without?
Music. Water is great and all, but music is essential!
Is your favorite season spring, summer, winter, or fall – and why?
Summer. I love when the sun is shining and it’s light out at the beginning and end of the day.
What does success look like to you?
The freedom to travel and spend time with family is success to me.
What was your first job?
After college, I worked for the Portland Trail Blazers doing promotions at games and events. Technically, my first paying job was in high school taking pictures of buildings and houses that were applying for insurance.
If you had a superpower, what would it be?
To fly. Who wouldn’t want to fly?!
